ASX Sharemarket Competition Success

Year 11 student Jaymee Suliman took out a 1st place overall for the state in the most recent ASX Sharemarket Competition.  This national comp sees over 17,000 students compete to make the largest profit on an initial $50,000.  In under 2 months, Jaymee turned her $50,000 of game currency into over $104,000.  Impressive given the downturn in our share-market and the increased volatility seen in markets globally.

Jaymee took up the challenge as an extra-curricular activity during the period of online learning and had no idea the success she'd had in the competition.  Weighing up the current global situation, Jaymee chose AfterPay and Fischer & Paykel Health stocks as two companies she thought would do well, buying in at a bargain price and cashing in at the perfect time.

For her success Jaymee will receive $400 in prize-money to use as she see fit.  Hopefully it will be invested wisely!
