Principal's Welcome

A very warm welcome to Mary MacKillop Catholic College. I hope this website gives you a real insight into the vibrant life of our College, as well as hosting the most up-to-date information  for current and prospective parents.

We are a Prep to Year 12 coeducational Catholic College.  At MMCC we work very hard to help form people of faith, integrity and excellence through the Catholic traditions and values we are so proud of. Inspired by our patron, Mary MacKillop, we seek to engage minds through a robust curriculum  delivered by expert teachers; ignite hearts through an explicit mission and ministry that welcomes all; and encourage aspiration and excellence in every activity.

The College offers an inclusive and diverse curriculum which caters for all needs and abilities. We have high expectations of all learners; learning should of course be enjoyable and rewarding, but always accompanied by excellent standards in the classroom. The development of self-discipline and self-respect based on Gospel values is reinforced by consistently maintained standards and expectations. Students are always expected to demonstrate appropriate personal pride, particularly via the way that they conduct and present themselves both at school and in the wider community.

Within the Mary MacKillop learning community, each student is valued and encouraged to pursue personal excellence in all aspects of his or her development: spiritual, academic, social, cultural and physical. The College has a renowned and respected Pastoral Care programme that seeks to develop resilience, respect and well-being. Importantly, our excellent work in this area supports academic rigour and enables our students to succeed in the classroom as well as outside it.

As a Catholic College it is our duty to consult with parents as the first educators, commit to educating the ‘whole child’ for life beyond school; and aim at all times to be truly outstanding. I take that duty and honour extremely seriously, and I seek always to work alongside staff, parents, guardians, and students themselves to deliver it.

We look forward to partnering with you and your young person in this exciting and rewarding journey to adulthood. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.
